Dreams sometimes do come true. Such is the case with Bill and Amanda Eigel, who own one of the fastest growing skylight installation companies in America only a few years after leaving the United States Air Force as Aircraft Maintenance Officers at Whiteman Air Force Base.

Bill and Amanda Eigel are the owners of National Skylight Solutions, the parent company of their five Velux 5 Star Skylight Specialist companies located in St. Louis, MO, Chicago, IL, Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee, and Long Island, NY

After leaving the Air Force, Bill, his wife Amanda, and his two children moved to St. Louis to be close to family. With a burning desire to own their own business, Bill and Amanda Eigel researched various opportunities before purchasing St. Louis Skylights. Because of his engineering degree from Purdue University, his production and maintenance experience as a military officer, and his natural aptitude for business, Bill recognized that the skylight business could be an exciting and satisfying way to support his family.

As St. Louis Skylights grew and new branch offices opened, Bill and Amanda brought on board recently retired Air Force veterans they served with at Whiteman Air Force Base, all with the discipline, work ethic, and production and management experience that would help their company prosper. Jeff Culbertson, District Manager of National Skylight Solutions, Jeff Smoldt, General Manager of St. Louis Skylights, and Steve Ramage, General Manager of Nashville and Knoxville Skylights, are all Air Force veterans with more than 20 years of dedicated military service.
